My Print Club is one tuesday per month & takes place at my studio at The Makers Guild, Guildhall, Portsmouth.

Individual dates are bookable. Max places is 4.

Includes access to my etching Press. I also have newsprint, non toxic cleaning up media, rags, plate oil, glass plates for ink mixing. palette knives, a few rollers, large cutting mat and A3 guillotine, various size monoprint plates.

you can use my ink for an extra charge.

You will need to bring your own paper.

This is a shared space and you will have your own table area plus access to my etching press if needed. Other artists also use the space so if you prefer peace and quiet this is not going to be for you. I only use oil based inks and I clean up at my work table then wash my hands in the kitchen upstairs. please note that if you use water based inks there is not a suitable sink in the studio. Kitchen and toilet are up one floor via lift or stairs.

The Studio is on the Upper level 2 - U2 and accessible via lift from the main Guildhall box office entrance.

Who is this suitable for; - You would need to have some prior printing experience and be able to work independently. This is perfect for you if you’d like to get out and meet other artists/ printers once in a while and work in a shared environment.

About my press- Its an Ironbridge Gunning No 2 etching press with gears. it prints fine details from any intaglio plate very beautifully. it can used for monoprint, all Paper litho processes, and collagraph. It can be used to print lino or woodblock depending on what others are doing that day as I have runners that can be fitted for thicker blocks.
